Railway Services In South Liverpool

EDM number 587 in 1993-94, proposed by David Alton on 10/02/1994.

That this House deplores the decision of Merseytravel and Regional Railways to cut the railway services at Mossley Hill, Allerton and West Allerton stations; questions the justification offered by Mr Robert Goundry, Director of Regional Railways, that these reductions in services will lead to an improvement in services for the majority and an increase in market opportunities; and believes that the emasculation of public transport services is environmentally and socially irresponsible.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
