That this House applauds the Department of National Heritage for granting listed II status to the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, which together with the Anglican Cathedral at the other end of Hope Street lends character and dignity to the skyline of Liverpool; and welcomes this recognition of its distinctive place amongst the rich architectural heritage of Merseyside.
