Daily Record Redundancies
EDM number 622 in 1993-94, proposed by Phil Gallie on 16/02/1994.
That this House expresses concern at the manner in which the Daily Record, the perceived voice of the people and defender of workers' rights, is reported to be sacking long serving staff, raising allegations of threats, intimidation and railroading and thereby creating a situation in which, had it been the subject of a typical Daily Record expose, the offending company would have been vilified and condemned.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
