LABOUR AS SCOTLAND'S NATIONAL PARTY;Amdt. line 1:

EDM number 713A1 in 1993-94, proposed by Alex Salmond on 04/03/1994.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'views the delivery of 15 dead roses by the Scottish National Party to the Labour Party's headquarters in Glasgow as well justified; believes that it is essential to draw attention to the Labour Party's abject failure in opposing the imposition of Tory policies in Scotland over the last 15 years; notes that the Labour Party saved the Prime Minister's bacon by voting with the Tories on 22nd April 1993 to deny people the democratic right of a referendum on the Maastricht Treaty; further notes the Labour Party again voted with the Tories on 1st February 1994 to allow English Conservative Members of Parliament the right to gerrymander Scottish local government and appropriate Scotland's water; and finally notes that the Labour Party will soon be replaced in Scotland by a party that genuinely represents the Scottish national interest.'.

This is a ammendment to 713.
