Threat To VAT Zero-Rating Of Liberal Democrat Policy On Europe
EDM number 850 in 1993-94, proposed by Patrick Nicholls on 14/03/1994.
That this House regrets the decision of the Liberal Democrat Party to support the proposal contained in the draft European Liberal Democrat and Reform Parties Manifesto to end the right of a national veto over decision making in the European Council of Ministers; and believes that this policy would result in Britain being forced to end zero-rating for VAT purposes on food and children's clothes.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
