Conservative Commitments In The European Parliament

EDM number 882 in 1993-94, proposed by Paul Tyler on 16/03/1994.

That this House congratulates Conservative MEPs who have signed the loyalty declaration to the principles and policies of the European People's Party, reiterating their commitment to the Social Charter, to economic and monetary union and to a Federal Constitution for the European Union, despite the blandishments of the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Conservative Party and the Foreign Secretary; welcomes this evidence that some members of the party at least believe in keeping their promises; and calls on Conservative MEPs to clarify which set of policies they will campaign for in the forthcoming election.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
