National Trust And Deer Hunting

EDM number 90 in 1993-94, proposed by Alan Meale on 25/11/1993.

That this House condemns the National Trust Council for its failure to fully implement its members' wishes to ban deer hunting on the lands it holds responsibilities for; further congratulates the 871 National Trust members who have called on the Trust to again consider the principle of allowing hunting on their land; and calls upon the National Trust to ensure that the issue of cruelty in deer hunting is addressed, a factor ignored by the Trust in its previous deliberations.
