Predatory Pricing Of Newspapers

EDM number 1037 in 1994-95, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 26/04/1995.

That this House believes that the pricing of The Times increases its losses, that subsidized price cutting is intended to weaken competitive newspapers, and that the owners should be asked to divest themselves of other papers or guarantee to hold this low price for five years or pay a total sum equivalent to twice the annual loss to the proprietors of equivalent daily papers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
