Weddings Under The Marriages Act

That this House congratulates Simon Hartley and his team at Wakefield Metropolitan District Council for organising the first wedding in England and Wales on Saturday 29th April under the provisions of the new Marriages Act; notes that it will take place in the Old Courtroom, under the Clock Tower in the refurbished Wakefield Town Hall rather than the local Registry Office; and wishes the couple getting married every happiness.
