Victims Of The Ira

EDM number 1077 in 1994-95, proposed by Harry Barnes on 02/05/1995.

That this House notes that at least 11 people have been killed by the Provisional IRA and had their bodies concealed in bogs; further notes that Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams, last year promised to look into these cases; agrees with Father Dennis Faul that `it is a very serious religious, cultural and anti-Irish action to deny these people a burial'; and calls upon the Republican movement to release details of the unmarked graves so that the relatives of the victims can at long last end their grieving and give their loved ones a decent and dignified burial.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
