Recycled Printer Cartridges

That this House notes that many of the thousands of laser and ink-jet printers in use in this country use toner cartridges and other consumables which, although designed as disposable, are eminently recyclable; further notes that remanufactured toner and ink cartridges can save users up to 50 per cent. of the cost of printer consumables, can create jobs and protect the environment; and believes that Ministers should encourage both the use of remanufactured goods and the expansion of the industry.
