Ajay Makawana And Leicestershire Health Authority

EDM number 1200 in 1994-95, proposed by Keith Vaz on 06/06/1995.

That this House applauds the joint actions of Leicestershire Health Authority and Leicestershire Social Services in pledging to continue to provide a communication aid to cerebral palsy sufferer Ajay Makwana, a pupil due to leave Ash Field Special School, Leicester, whose only means of communicating with the outside world is with this vital communication aid; is concerned that other pupils in the same position throughout the United Kingdom are still very uncertain about their future; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Health and the Secretary of State for Social Security to make available funds to ensure the provision of ongoing communicative support for all pupils with special needs in this position.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
