Staff Rail Travel

EDM number 1295 in 1994-95, proposed by Ieuan Wyn Jones on 26/06/1995.

That this House condemns the proposal by the Association of Train Operating Companies to withdraw free travel facilities to railway employees when the train network is fully privatised; considers that the removal of this facility is an outrageous attack on the terms and conditions of loyal railway staff who have served the industry well over many generations; and calls on the Secretary of State for Transport to withdraw this mean-spirited proposal.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs, 5 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
