Dss Centralisation Of Correspondence
EDM number 1305 in 1994-95, proposed by Alan Meale on 27/06/1995.
That this House is alarmed to learn that the DSS headquarters has set up a pilot scheme to centralise correspondence enquiries and replies between honourable Members and Ministers; believes that the purpose of such organisation is to move away from the present system of tailored replies to questions to a more standard method; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to abandon this experiment which can only lead to honourable Members receiving bland replies and ultimately to dissatisfaction amongst their constituents who receive such.
This motion has been signed by a total of 62 MPs.
