Future Of St Ethelburga Church

EDM number 1381 in 1994-95, proposed by Harry Barnes on 11/07/1995.

That this House expresses its concern over the way in which the architectural competition for plans for the future of St. Ethelburga Church in the City of London, nearly destroyed by a Provisional IRA bomb in April 1993, has been conducted; notes that the Bishop of London is currently investigating the competition with a view to making a final decision on the future of the church, which is the oldest and smallest in London; further notes that the Friends of St. Ethelburga have submitted a planning application which aims at a full restoration of the church; and believes that this application is the best way of paying tribute to the victims of the IRA's bombs in the City of London.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
