Warm Homes

That this House welcomes the establishemnt of the All-Party Parliamentary Warm Homes Group, which aims to secure for all United Kingdom citizens the basic right to a warm home, a necessity currently denied to approximately seven million households; supports policies designed to eradicate fuel poverty, to improve home insulation and building standards, to enhance energy conservation measures; and welcomes the support of the Association for the Conservation of Energy, the Campaign for Cold Weather Credits, Child Poverty Action Group, Disability Alliance, Energy Action Scotland, Gas Consumers Council, Heatwise Glasgow, National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, National Right to Fuel Campaign, Neighbourhood Energy Action and Right to Warmth.
