Conservative Candidate For Pudsey

That this House notes that the work of Mr Peter Bone, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Pudsey, in local elections in 1995 produced a Conservative share of 4 per cent. of councillors in Wales; further notes that his leading role in the Iswyn by-election resulted in a 4 per cent. Conservative share of the poll and that following his announcement at the Conservative Conference that he paid some of his staff in Newport 87 pence an hour, a poll asked whether he paid fair wages, in response to which 96 per cent. of respondents said No and 4 per cent. said Yes; and now looks forward to his gaining 4 per cent. of the vote in Pudsey.
