Sky Bid For News At Ten

That this House notes with concern the bid by Sky News for News at Ten and Channel Four News; believes that any further extension of the Murdoch empire is against the public interest; further belives that the Sky bid should not be used by ITN shareholders as an excuse to lower standards; and calls on the Independent Television Commission to ensure not only that the Murdoch bid is rejected, but also that standards are maintained.
