That this House notes the recent statement by the PKK General Secretary, Abdullah Ocalan, that the PKK is seeking a solution to the current crisis within a unified and sovereign Turkey; welcomes his proposals for a solution within a framework of unity; and supports his call for an international initiative to solve the Kurdish problem and for the International Committee of the Red Cross to monitor the current conflict. (Relevant registered interest declared)
