Comments Of Honourable Member For Dorset North

That this House notes with approval the comments made by the honourable Member for Dorset North on 6th December during an adjournment debate on electoral reform when he said 'There is nothing to gain and much to lose from prolonging unnecessarily a Government or Parliament which is discredited or which has simply reached the end of its natural life', Official Report, column 291; welcomes this insightful and balanced comment from a Government Minister; and looks forward to the day when the rest of the Government recognises the wisdom of his words and acts accordingly.
