Red Lion;amdt. Line 2:

EDM number 40A1 in 1994-95, proposed by Ann Winterton on 21/11/1994.

leave out from `tender' to end and add `notes with interest that the Commission for Racial Equality takes a fundamentally different view of the stance adopted by the management of the Red Lion and that it has written to research assistants employed by Right honourable and honourable Members inviting them to attend a reception at the Red Lion on Thursday 24th November; regrets that the Commission might have offended the sensitivities of Right honourable and honourable Members from Scotland; suggests that under the circumstances it might be more tactful for the event to be cancelled and this blatant and unjustifiable abuse of public funds thereby be avoided; believes that the future funding of the Commission should now be suspended until such time as this House is able to enact the necessary legislation to bring about its abolition; and welcomes the contribution to London life which the Red Lion pub has made for many years.'.

This is a ammendment to 40.
