Video Games And The European Leisure Software Publishers Association

That this House notes the rapid expansion of the video and computer games industry; recognises concerns expressed by parents and others about the risks of children being exposed to interactive games involving gratuitous violence or pornography; welcomes the European Leisure Software Publishers Association code of practice and Voluntary Age Rating labelling system; congratulates the majority of retailers for participating in this system; and calls on those retailers who do not at present participate to cease bringing their trade into disrepute and to join the system forthwith.
