European Passenger Services

EDM number 676 in 1994-95, proposed by Andrew Mackinlay on 27/02/1995.

That this House regrets that Mr Stephen Morpurgo has been unable to obtain a response from the Customer Relations Department of SNCF Grandes Lignes to whom he was referred by Mrs Eve Harris, of European Passenger Services Customer Relations, about his legitimate complaint about the apparent absence of security checks at the Paris departure of the Channel Tunnel train; considers that both from a security and customer relations point of view this is wholly unsatisfactory; and calls upon European Passenger Services, SNCF and the respective Minister of Transport to get a grip on customer relations and the apparent slack security regime that is a feature of the Channel Tunnel operations.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs, 2 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
