Siti Kamara And The Immigration Service

EDM number 707 in 1994-95, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 28/02/1995.

That this House is appalled that Siti Kamara, aged 18 years, has been kept in Campsfield House Detention Centre since July 1994 and, despite expressing a fear of returning to the Ivory Coast and undertaking a hunger strike, was scheduled for removal on 28th February and made an attempt to take her own life; and calls upon the Home Secretary to lift the deportation order on her and to ensure that she receives all the necessary medical treatment to gain a full recovery.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
