Nursing And Residential Care Industry

That this House congratulates the Western Morning News for its investigation into the nursing and residential care industry, highlighting isolated cases of abuse; calls on the Government to consider a national code to ensure there is always a properly trained member of staff on duty at residential homes; and demands that adequate resources should be available to local and health authorities to inspect homes on a regular basis.
