MAKING BETTER USE OF LONDON'S RAILWAYS

EDM number 761 in 1994-95, proposed by Jim Dowd on 08/03/1995.

That this House notes that London has an existing rail network that is under-used and that making better use of that network is one of the most cost-effective ways to enhance significantly the Capital's transport system; and therefore calls upon the Government to make much better use of London's existing rail network by supporting a minimum standard of 15 minute services on all London lines, ensuring that all inner London stations are fully staffed throughout the hours of service, instituting staffed Help Points at 100 core stations across London, introducing a requirement for mandatory information facilities at stations, and providing for the optimum use of all existing track.
