President Bill Clinton

EDM number 791 in 1994-95, proposed by Nicholas Winterton on 13/03/1995.

That this House deplores the readiness of President Clinton to purchase electoral popularity at the expense of the widows and orphans of Northern Ireland and the rest of the United Kingdom; condemns his complicity with apologists for Republican terrorism; and regrets that the leader of one of the world's major civilised democracies, which has been a longstanding friend of the United Kingdom through both war and peace, should so callously and so willingly disregard in the balance of his judgment the cries for justice of the dead, the maimed and the bereaved.

This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
