Autobiography Of Jimmy Allison

EDM number 799 in 1994-95, proposed by George Galloway on 14/03/1995.

That this House congratulates Jimmy Allison, the former Scottish Organiser of the Labour Party on the long awaited publication of his memoirs, Guilty by Suspicion; remembers his decades of service to the Labour Movement, his many election triumphs, his psephelogical wizardry and caustic wit, and above all honours his life-long commitment to the Socialist idea; and remembers also his belief that capitalist society is inherently divided between those who own the means of production, distribution and exchange and those who must work for them, selling their labour at less than the value of their work thus producing the profit on which the power, wealth and opportunity of the very few is based.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
