Unsolved Murder Of Christina Menzies (No. 2)

EDM number 898 in 1994-95, proposed by George Galloway on 24/03/1995.

That this House continues to be gravely disturbed by the evidence of poor police work by the Royal Military Police and poorer legal work by the military prosecutor in the case against Corporal Darren Fisher, accused of murdering Christina Menzies; notes that Hans Dieter Haidbrede, the public prosecutor in Bielfeld, told Scotland on Sunday that 'he was sure Fisher was guilty, without a doubt', and that the leading German forensic scientist in the case, Dr Neubert Kirfel said 'I believe that Fisher killed Christina, I am sure of it'; and believes that as a result of serial blunders in the courts martial system a guilty man has walked free and that a murderer is therefore at large within the ranks of the British Army.
