Fire Services In Gloucestershire

That this House notes with grave concern the threat to the emergency vehicle located at Stroud fire station as a result of the shortfall in the Government's standard spending assessment settlement for the Gloucestershire Fire Authority; congratulates the Labour councillors on Gloucestershire County Council and the Fire Brigade Union on their successful efforts to retain the vehicle; calls upon the County Council to continue to fund the vehicle; and urges the Home Secretary to hold talks with the County Council over its fire service budget.
