Identification Of Private Security Personnel
EDM number 923 in 1994-95, proposed by Martin Redmond on 29/03/1995.
That this House notes that the Home Secretary quite properly continues to recognise the need for police officers to wear unique identification numbers on their uniforms; demands he ceases to show total indifference to the operation of private security organisations by requiring all private security employees to wear personal identification numbers registered with their local police force and by taking legislative action to prevent criminals running, owning or working for private security firms.
