Pedestrian Crossing At Mellor Primary School, Leicester

That this House notes with great concern that parents, children and the staff of Mellor Primary School, Checketts Road, Leicester, are having to campaign bitterly for the installation of a pedestrian crossing outside this school; recognises that in light of a recent serious accident on Checketts Road involving a pupil at the school, a pedestrian crossing is of the utmost importance; and calls for the Secretary of State for Education to make available greater funds to ensure the safety of children on Checketts Road, Leicester, and on other such busy roads throughout Britain.
