Establishment Of Next Steps Agencies Within The Department Of The Environment;northern Ireland

EDM number 983 in 1994-95, proposed by Eddie McGrady on 18/04/1995.

That this House is totally opposed to the establishment of 11 agencies within the Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland as they represent a denial of democratic accountability and will result in a contraction of services and jobs in the long-term; and calls on the Government to suspend decisions for the establishment of such bodies pending local representative involvement in the decision making process.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
