Ecumenical Service For The Disappeared Of Northern Ireland

EDM number 102 in 1995-96, proposed by Harry Barnes on 22/11/1995.

That this House welcomes the decision of the Northern Ireland group, the Families of the Disappeared, to hold an ecumenical service in Belfast on Tuesday 28th November to honour all those people who have been abducted, murdered and concealed by the Provisional IRA in the last 25 years; and believes that this will enable all decent thinking people, of whatever persuasion, to demonstrate their abhorrence at the inhumanity caused to the relatives of the disappeared who have been unable to know for certain the fates of their loved ones and to give them a decent burial.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
