That this House notes that a company called Drivesafe Services Limited has been awarded the contract by the Driving Standards Agency to establish driving theory test centres throughout the United Kingdom; notes that Drivesafe Services is owned jointly by JHP, a company whose activities have been the subject of fraud allegations, and the Capita Group; is astonished that a JHP parented company has been awarded the contract; notes that JHP Chairman and Chief Executive Hugh Pitman, on learning of the honourable Member for Workington's concerns over JHP being awarded the contract, immediately launched yet another tirade of the abuse and misleading statements that have characterised his dealings with the honourable Member over the last two years, including telephoning his parliamentary agent to ask him to intervene, telephoning his home, the further bullying of National Audit Office officials, the issuing of misleading statements to the national Press and the unjustified calling in aid of Cumbria Police in support of his companies' operations despite the fact that it is this police force which has been investigating JHP's activities; further questions how it was that an honourable Member's privileged discussions with departmental officials at the Driving Standards Agency were leaked by a civil servant to JHP, a private contractor, under contract to that same agency; and questions whether Mr Court of the Driving Standards Agency is a fit person to be a civil servant.
