Mr Rodgers And Burnetts Property Services

That this House notes that, in January 1994, Mrs Kirkwood of Dronfield Woodhouse won substantial compensation for unfair dismissal from Today Look Ltd of Sheffield, which subsequently became Burnetts Property Services and whose Managing Director remains Mr W. V. Rodgers; further notes that Mr Rodgers has failed to pay the compensation due which amounts to ú2,802.42, despite repeated requests from Mrs Kirkwood and the honourable Member for North East Derbyshire; calls upon Mr Rodgers to fulfil his responsibilities and pay Mrs Kirkwood the amount due, together with interest and compensation for the inconvenience caused to her in pursuing the monies owed to her; and urges the Department of Trade and Industry to review its own role in this case in the hope that it will take action to protect and increase the credibility of industrial tribunals which have been made a nonsense of by Mr Rodgers in this particular case.
