W Taylor And Sons

EDM number 279 in 1995-96, proposed by Gerald Kaufman on 16/01/1996.

That this House warns householders to have no dealings with William Taylor and Sons of Urmston, self-described 'dampcourse and timber preservation contractors'; places on record this firm's prolonged failure to carry out remedial work at a domestic property located in the Gorton constituency of Manchester over a period commencing in 1993,despite substantial payments made by the householder to William Taylor and Sons; believes that anyone already involved with this firm should under no circumstances make any payments until work is completed to the satisifaction of the householder; and expresses its sympathy to the constituent of the Right honourable member for Manchester, Gorton, a woman who has been so shabbily treated.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
