Effects Of The Housing Bill

That this House is appalled that the Government has produced a Housing Bill which will result in a severe weakening of the essential safety net for homeless families and vulnerable homeless people; is dismayed that the homelessness proposals remain unchanged despite the widespread opposition to them revealed during its Green and White paper stages; profoundly regrets that the proposals will cut emergency and long-term help for those in most urgent housing need, including families with children; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to withdraw this vicious and distressing Bill.
