PROFESSOR MUHAMMED AL MASS'ARI AND AID TO DOMINICA

That this House, whilst welcoming increased aid to Dominica, expresses concern following allegations that the decision by the Prime Minister of Dominica to give asylum to Professor Muhammed Al Mass'ari was linked to an offer by HM Government to quadruple aid to Dominica; notes that HM Government has admitted that the decision to deport Professor Mass'ari was in the interests of trade with Saudi Arabia; and calls upon the Public Accounts Committee to conduct a full investigation of the allegations concerning any link between the case of Professor Mass'ari and overseas aid.
