Car Boot Sales

EDM number 610 in 1995-96, proposed by Colin Pickthall on 13/03/1996.

That this House, while recognising the valuable role played by genuine car boot sales run for charitable purposes, believes that the Secretary of State for the Environment should strengthen local authority planning powers to ban so-called car boot sales which are clearly commercial outlets from those rural and residential areas that the local authority deems unsuitable.

This motion has been signed by a total of 34 MPs.
