Child Support Agency In Ilford

That this House notes that a constituent of the honourable Member for Ilford South has been told by the Child Support Agency that a deduction from earnings order imposed on the partner of this individual will apply from 19th February until it is varied on 19th July 2051 and that a further variation will apply frm 19th August 2051; notes that this will mean that the arrears owing to this constituent will only be paid off over a period of 55 years; further notes that by the time the arrears have been paid off the parent with care will be 94 years of age and the child concerned will be nearly 70 years of age; is concerned that although this absurdity has been pointed out to the Child Support Agency, staff have refused to amend the timetable; and recognises that this is yet another example of the gross incompetence of the Child Support Agency and a further reason for its fundamental reform.
