Staffordshire Ambulance Service

EDM number 701 in 1995-96, proposed by Joan Walley on 01/04/1996.

That this House congratulates the Staffordshire Ambulance Trust on being the first ambulance service in the United Kingdom to achieve a response time whereby 80 per cent. of all emergency calls resulted in ambulances arriving in eight minutes against the national average of 50 per cent; notes that this excellent record in Staffordshire is an outcome of management and employees working openly and with commitment together; and looks forward to continuing improvements.
