Bull Bar Prohibition In Britain And The Role Of The E.u.

EDM number 709 in 1995-96, proposed by John Wilkinson on 02/04/1996.

That this House deplores the deliberate talking out of the Bull Bars (Prohibition Bill) on 29th March 1996 on the grounds that an overdue British national prohibition of these dangerous fashion accessories to motor vehicles had to yield precedence to expected action by the European Union; and condemns the fact that the sabotaging of a private member's bill which would reduce the risk of unnecessary death or injury to pedestrians, especially children, has been sacrificed on the altar of subservient conformity to a directive of the European Union.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
