Missing Government Files

EDM number 749 in 1995-96, proposed by Martin Redmond on 18/04/1996.

That this House, following the disclosure that files used by Lord Aldington in the legal action in which he won ú1.5 million damages from Count Nikolai Tolstoy, which Tolstoy had been told were unavailable, were subsequently found languishing in a Foreign Office cupboard, calls upon the Government to order a search of all cupboards for files and for their return to the proper quarter.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
