Extra Trains For National Eisteddfod

That this House deplores the decision of South Wales and West Railway not to lay on any extra trains on the Heart of Wales line during the week of the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Llandeilo from 3rd to 10th August; notes that Ffairfach railway station is but a five minute walk from the Eisteddfod field; notes that the Eisteddfod will be attended by over 150,000 visitors during that week and that this is an ideal opportunity to gain extra custom, to provide public service and to advertise this beautifully scenic railway line; asks their Commercial Manager to reconsider this decision and to provide additional trains to arrive at the Eisteddfod from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and departures from 4 to 7 p.m. and to advertise these services widely in consultation with the Eisteddfod organisers.
