Non-Departmental Public Bodies

EDM number 880 in 1995-96, proposed by Martin Redmond on 14/05/1996.

That this House regrets to total loss of opportunity to correct the wide abuse of power by Government quangos and to minimise the vast sum of money paid to Government puppets serving on such quangos - an atrocious example of which was the payment by the Doncaster Health Authority of ú5,000 to a male non-executive director who attended twice in the year and a female non-executive director who attended on only five occasions.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
