EDM number 936 in 1995-96, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 22/05/1996.

That this House is appalled at the continuing tragedy of theconflict in Liberia and the failure of the ECOMOG intervention to bring about a resolution of the conflict; is further alarmed at the plight of the refugees both in and outside the country and the refusal of neighbouring countries to offer safety; and calls for all possible aid to be made available by Western nations to save life as a matter of the utmost urgency.
