Terminal 5 And Widening Of M25
EDM number 944 in 1995-96, proposed by Andrew Mackinlay on 04/06/1996.
That this House notes that the road traffic growth forecasts accompanying the new M25 widening scheme between junctions 12 and 15 make no allowance for the greatly expanded Heathrow envisaged in the Terminal 5 application; deplores the fiction being spread around that the proposed M25 widening and Terminal 5 schemes can be considered or treated separately; and reminds the Government that the linkage between the schemes was explicitly acknowledged in the House by the Secretary of State for Transport on 3rd April 1995.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
