Traffic Area Boundaries

EDM number 386 in 1996-97, proposed by Donald Anderson on 14/01/1997.

That this House notes with regret the decisions of the Department of Transport to close the only Traffic Area Office in Wales in Cardiff on 1st April 1997; and further regrets that contrary to the consensus view of the South Wales Traffic Area operators and local authorities who favoured Bristol, but with the full support of the Welsh Office, it has now been decided without adequate consultation to administer the work from Birmingham.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
