That this House congratulates Glasgow-born Pop Idol winner Michelle MacManus in reaching number one in the United Kingdom charts with her debut single All This Time; notes that she enters the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles by becoming the first Scottish female singer to make her chart debut at the top spot; appreciates that she has done Scotland proud in the example she set on the Pop Idol programme and in the early days of her musical career; and hopes that this success will be the first of many top selling singles.
